About "The Navy Hymn"

My Women's Ensemble group wanted to sing this hymn in church. I couldn't find a different and unusual arrangement for SSAA so I wrote one myself. This arrangement is not always true to the original melody, there are a number of surprising variations!  There is some divisi in the parts, so at least 8 voices are needed to sing this arrangement in its entirety.

Eternal Father, strong to save,

Its own appointed limits keep;

Our loved ones' shield in danger's hour;
From rock and tempest, fire and foe,
Protect them wheresoe'er they go;

Thus evermore shall rise to Thee
